The design of this new destination on the Palm has been inspired by local artisans and artistes, as well as Dubai’s culture and heritage.  Andaz Dubai The Palm is the first property to open in Dubai, which GDS have worked on from concept to completion, including detailed site supervision to ensure the design DNA is is followed in every detail. The concept design for Andaz Dubai The Palm was developed together with FG stijl, a company founded by Gerard Glintmeijer and Colin Finnegan in Amsterdam back in 1995.

In addition to Andaz, GDS is working on an array of other inspiring projects in Dubai and internationally – Vida Dubai Mall for Emaar Hospitality, the Bellagio Resort by MGM for Wasl and the Foundry F&B concept in Bahrain, to name a few. There is also a private villa project on Jumeirah One – to keep our residential design skills sharp and explore the application of the latest design materials. To ensure close collaboration with clients and consultants alike, GDS founder Gerard Glintmeijer is based in Dubai full-time and is leading the studio’s international team of 20.

We at GDS are looking forward to having Andaz Dubai The Palm stir some of our creative energy and bring a fresh perspective at the hotel collection of the Palm Jumeirah.
